Your life is the sum of an unbalanced equation" Have you ever heard that? That is the beginning phrase of a complex response given by The Architect in the sci-fi thriller The Matrix Reloaded. It was the answer he gave to the question "Why am l here?" The script of that scène is one of the most coveted on the web and one of web sites that offered the script virtually exhausted its bandwidth because of the number of visits to it. That shows how much people are interested in issues such as Destiny, Purpose, Choice, and the like. But what is purpose anyway? Could it be true that I am the eventuality of an anomaly, which despite [God’s] sincerest effort, He has been unable to eliminate from what, is otherwise a harmony of mathematical precision? (As the Architect said in the movie). Are our lives and existence really the result of some random and unpredictable phenomena –brought about by the free actions and reactions engaging in an open system? Or does a close study of how we came about show –in the mist of seeming disorder and fortuity a striking systemic pre-selection of a high level? I have found the latter to be the case and I’m going to prove it to you through a combination of academic research and the age-old word of God. And I promise to be as discreet yet explanatory as possible. In order not to take too much time I will presume too things: 1) That you have a passable knowledge of biology. 2) That you have a similar familiarity with mathematical Probability In The Beginning Was … Ok, to explain this we have to start at the beginning –no not at the hospital, some months before that; you see, life begins at conception, (contrary to what the pro-choice and proabortionist movement claim). It is a known fact that after a sperm fertilizes an egg a new genetically distinct individual is created. It is also a known fact that all that an individual will turn out to be – sex, height, weight, blood type, skin color, eye color and a lot more than I simply cannot state here – are all determined and preset at the moment of fertilization. We also do know that for every simple female egg present at fertilization there are several of the male equivalent. But what most don’t take note of is that each of these male cells is different from the other so that if after fertilization one sperm would produce a male child (because it’s the male cell that determines the sex of the offspring), then the next could well produce a female. However the sex gene is not all that they have different. Their genetic payload all vary in blood type, hair color, inheritable traits, etc So we have this picture of one episode having the possibility of producing several zygotes depending on which male cell succeeds in fertilizing the female cell. Now we are not talking of a dozen or even thousand male cells. Research shows that there are available at the moment of conception, a range of between 150 to 600 million sperm cells. a That gives you an average of 375 genetically unique cells which would produce, (this might be hard to swallow) 375 million totally unique and genetically irreplaceable a individuals essentially different from you if they made it to the egg. You may insist that you would have been born no matter which male cell fertilizes the egg as far as that particular episode is concerned. But that would be saying you would still be the same whether you are a male or female, ( as there are male and female cells present there) – and that issue just concerns the sex gene, which is one of 30,000 genes b. What you should be concerned about is not how one cell out of these legions makes the union with the egg but rather that the one union that actually occurred turned out to be YOU. When you see someone on the street, when you look at a boy or a girl, you are actually looking at The One that made it. Nobody thinks about the 375 million other possibilities, they only think about the one who succeeded in being born. Charles Darwin has a phrase explaining how one cell beats the rest; he calls it The Survival Of The Fittest. Other scientists call this the "macho sperm" theory a. But I know better than to think that I am here today because I am the best of that lot.. I think (nay I know) that I was born because l was meant to be born. In August 2001 a clinic discovered that the sperms that have the XX sex genes are heavier than the sperms that have the XY gene c. Now we all know speed is one of the factors that determines which male sex cell makes it to the egg; so you see that there would be a disparity in the speed of these cells because one lot (the female to be precise) would be slower than the other lot. A cursory look at the ratio of men to women in the population will tell you that something more than speed was responsible for their successful conception. That the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works but of Him that calleth (Rom.9: 11). The chance of a man winning the lottery was calculated to be 1 in 14 million d. That means your parents were much more likely to win the lottery than to have given birth to you. In the study of mathematical probability, an event is said to be impossible if it has a probability of zero, (e.g. the probability that you are reading this piece anytime before August 2003 is zero); well the probability of you being born is 0.000000003 or 3 x 10-9 e ,Give that figure to any mathematician and he will tell you that that is a euphemism for impossible. But you know it wasn’t impossible; because you are here right now reading this piece: That the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of marks but of Him that calleth (Rom.9: 11). . No one was born accidentally every single individual on this planet is here for a reason, for a mission for a PURPOSE. "Even for this purpose have l raised thee up" (Rom.9:17) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. (Romans 8:28) In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: (Ephesians 1:11) According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: (Ephesians 3:11) There are 6 billion people on this planet f . I know you have always thought yourself unique but you are more unique than you realize. There are 6 billion persons, but of them all I happen to be talking to YOU. There are 320 Million websites on the Internet g - but right now you are in THIS one, reading THIS message. Perhaps you think you are lost in a crowd. You think that you are here just to play your part in the so-called Circle of Life. Friend, there's more to you than you realize. You have a role to play on this planet. You may not be close to God right now, you may not be Born Again, you may even be a devotee of another Faith. But the God that made this piece come your way is saying to you: Child, IT IS TIME. It is time for your shining; it is time for you to discover your PURPOSE. You were born into That Family for a purpose; you are in That religion for a purpose; you are facing That situation for a purpose. There are many rebellious and hell-worthy souls on this planet - including you; but I have come Your way for a Purpose. CHILD, come to me, and let me give you a sneak peek of what a FULFILLED LIFE really is. Friend, I beg you to heed to that call today, and you you going to understand why He chose YOU out of a host of 375 million other applicants. God Bless.
